Joshua 6 vs 12-27

Joshua Chapter 6 Verses 12 – 19

  • So stay away from the cultural commodities. The false gods and the idolatry. They will change by the way as time marches on. The false gods of 1500 weren’t porn and sexting and gay pride and abortionthey are today. Folks just have just left the Word of God behind here in the last 25 years talking about, “It must be wrong…” All of the sudden it’s antiquated…Not correct…it just simply doesn’t change because truth is like that…
  • So stay away from the sways of the culture…they’ll change again but the Word of God…anchor point…so stay away from the cultural commodities Joshua commands the people but plunder the city!!! (Truck story if time permits)

Joshua Chapter 6 Verses 24 – 26

For the sake of self-exaltation…for the exaltation of the father, the kids have fallen…how tragic but how often is the case when we rebuild in our lives the walls and the sin which God has removed and commanded against…

Joshua Chapter 6 Verse 27

  • Contrast Hiel with Joshua. One was in it for himself. Serving under Ahab and Jezzebel…looking to them for approval. The other, Joshua, serving only the Lord. Humble and resolved…and so here we read…the Lord was with him…just as He promised in Chapter 1…
