Genesis Chapter 1 Verses 6 – 8

• Now this is exciting stuff because here we see the creation of the water canopy. Many of you have studied this and know about this but perhaps there are some that don’t. This actually does not exist still today in the same way it did at the beginning. You see the earth was created in complete perfection as was man. Perfect for human life. Perfect for longevity of life in the flesh…in fact…, (in the absence of sin), everlasting life in the perfection of created earth and created man. Walking in fellowship with God in the midst of God’s wonderful and immaculate creation.
• And so the earth was created actually as some sort of ball of water before day three. But here God puts sky between the waters. And thus we have surface water, sky, and then waters above the skies. Even after day three, this water canopy persists and with that in place, the world at this time was essentially a global greenhouse. One temperature, one climate all over the world. Lush, tropical vegetation all over the world fed not by rain, there was zero rain until Noah’s flood, but rather fed by rich evaporation and condensation. A heavy dew…all over the world, Mountain Dew eeeerywhere! AH how grand! HA!

• The water canopy would also serve as a shield to the earth from ultraviolet radiation, cosmic rays, destructive energies…biological mutation would not have existed. The flesh of Adam would have been like super flesh in this environment. We still have remnants of this today. Cut your skin, what happens? You heal! Only in the dawn of creation, healing would be swift, complete, and without mutative disfunction.

• Ultimately the water canopy was the first rain. It collapsed upon the earth…I mean Noah built that Ark talking about rain for 120 years when folks were like, “What is rain!?” And when it collapsed upon the earth, the entire earth climate, the entire earth ecosystem, way of life, understanding of existence, catastrophically changed! (Just like when a life collapses as a result of sin by the way…)
• This is how creation scientists so easily explain things like fossil records…why we have human footprints fossilized in the midst (sometimes right insides of) dinosaur footprints…
• This is why we have animals discovered flash frozen in the arctic that should be nowhere near there in terms of their current (some would say natural) geographic habitat. This is why we have discoveries of lush vegetation in terms of fossil record in extreme temperature areas of the planet…it is all sufficiently explained in the flood and it is all sufficiently explained in a catastrophic world event such as the water canopy collapse and the advent of seasons and world climate as we know it today…when it was vastly different before…or we could just keep adding years to our theory with every new discovery…

Genesis Chapter 1 Verses 9 – 13

• And so the plants and the grass and the trees appear at the command of God and for folks that lean away from literal days in terms of creation have a real problem here because notice
• , the sun is not yet around. That doesn’t happen until the next day and so the thought that plant-life exists and thrives for eons is a certain difficulty to that perspective.
• And I love this, check this out, it was on the third day that we see life appear! Just like with the Lord! It was on the third day that He rose from the grave…having been dead, without life in His body during those three days, the day dawns and life enters…the creation account speaks of that!
• One last thing to notice, what came first, the chicken or the egg? Well in the case of the plants on the earth…the chicken. The plants were created and in them was created their seed and I love this, as they spun into life, the design of continuation of life, generational life, special lifespan, is to reproduce according to its kind…something that will continue to be a theme throughout the account of creation…

Genesis Chapter 1 Verses 14 – 19

• Fourth day. God creates the celestial host and assigns the light and the energy and the warmth that originates and is owned by Him, He assigns the energy to the sun. I just love that…that is a bigger God then we often imagine. But you know why? Because He makes Himself so small for us. He’s so good. The same God that spoke the sun into being, the same God who took power and energy and light and assigned it to that spherical mass and lit it ablaze, that same God is intimately concerned about your day…isn’t that just, well, it’s just amazing. He is so vast and so big and yet in that bigness, He makes Himself small…such a great lesson in that…

Genesis Chapter 1 Verses 20 – 25

• That theme, according to its kind, is given 10 times in the creation account and I love that just for the significance of the number 10. 10 is the number of divine perfection. 10 Commandments, 10 plagues, 10 toes of Daniel’s statue, the tithe of 10%, 10 “I Am” statements of Jesus in the Book of John...all speak of God’s perfect plan…and here this statement, “According to its kind,” is repeated 10 times…why? Here’s what I need to know and so I give it to you…
• God, in divine perfection, structured LOTS of variation within a kind, but one “kind” does not become another. For example, we have about 40 species of cats. Within those species, there are millions upon millions of variants. But each one of those species, each one of those variants belongs to the same, one singular, “Family.” In fact all cats come from the Anamlia Kingdom, the Phylum Chordata (vertebrate animals), Mammalia Class; Carnivora Order and Family of Felidae or ALL CATs.
• No matter how much breeding is done a cat will never be a cow…it will always be Felidae! It’s really rather interesting…evolutionists use microevolution as a sort of pointer proof to macroevolution but adaptations in Families don’t break Families…Most are unaware but Darwin’s strongest opponent was and is not Creation scientists…but rather fossil experts!
• Darwin stated that the fossil evidence was "the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory," and because of the fossil evidence, "all the most eminent paleontologists … and all our greatest geologists … have unanimously, often vehemently, maintained" that families do not change…

Genesis Chapter 1 Verse 26a

• So you see this? Let US make man in OUR image according to OUR likeness! Pretty clear, eh? And that is where we will pick it up next time…
