2 Corinthians 3 Verses 1 – 3

• Paul takes a little dig perhaps at the talking heads that are spreading the problems in Corinth by saying, “Do we need to commend ourselves, as some?” But rather, look, you are the proof of our ministry! You (the church in Corinth) exist! You love the Lord! You are zealous for the things of God! I have a letter of recommendation from God Himself but it’s not on paper, it’s on your hearts, known and read by all men!
• We think we hide so much. We hide the pain, the sin, the fact that we don’t care or the fact that we do care! Listen, it’s not hidden! It’s known and read by all men! And specifically, for the church in Corinth, Paul reminds them, it was the work of God through him and Titus and Timothy and others that has led them to be alive in the things of the Lord at all! And yet they are allowing some to question the anointing on Paul…
• Jesus said in John 5:31, “If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true.” Why? Because, you should be able to see it! A counterfeit is easily spotted (when you know the real thing), …Jesus talked about this in Matthew Chapter 7 verses 15–20, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”
• You will know them by their fruit…what is the offspring of their effort…the result of their living…is it good, Godly, does it turn folks to freedom and joy and righteousness…or, does it leave folks in bondage to them…good fruit and bad fruit. Not worldy success and riches…that’s not what the Bible calls fruit. Galatians 5:22-23 defines fruit, what we are to watch for and its love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control! When I’m selecting who to listen to and who to allow to speak to my heart, you better believe I am an intense fruit inspector!!

2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verses 4 – 6

• Paul’s gospel is cheap, man! Saved by grace through faith?! Look, if you really want to be close to God, you need to receive the grace of God through Jesus but the key is to hold to the law. That’s where holiness is at! This was the message that was creeping into the church through the somewhat personal attack on Paul and so Paul now goes into this discussion on how holding to the law doesn’t bring you closer to God…why? Because it’s not possible…what it ends up doing is pulling you away from the Lord!
• Listen, no one is going to brag in heaven…it’s all Jesus…all the crowns will go to Him for every true ministry and true act of love on this planet!
• Your sufficiency is, Paul says our sufficiency, is from God. If you want to be made right or righteous by the law then look man, it’s already too late. Well, they say, my sins are forgiven by God’s mercy and grace, but now I hold to the law. For what purpose? You have already been found to be a transgressor of the law! It’s simply not rational and entirely unbiblical. Paul said in Galatians 2:16, “A man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ…for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified!” This is what Paul means here when he says, “For the letter kills.” That law in and of itself is good, but it is like a teacher, a school master, and by looking into it, every man concludes that he is not good…and so to seek to be close and to grow closer to God by righteous works or holding to the law…man that shipped sailed in the Garden of Eden…Now we seek to be close to God so that we CAN walk in righteousness at all!!

2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verses 7 – 11

• One might say that if the New covenant through Jesus, which Paul calls here, the “Ministry of righteousness,” if it is better and more glorious then why not just start with that? What was the purpose of the Old Covenant in the first place? It’s a good and fair question and let me tell you, a very important one…
• It is by the law that we have the knowledge of sin at all. Paul wrote in Romans 7:7, “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”” And this is entirely key. Grace is not sweet, mercy is not welcomed, salvation is not received, unless you know you need saving! And so, the law, the Old Covenant, the manifold revealed righteousness of God was glorious…but just as the radiance of Moses’ face faded, so was the intention for the Old Covenant.
• It served its purpose, it is completed in fulfilled and now Jesus is here…no longer must we be commanded to do, now the commandment is to come…no longer are we to attempt to master the textbook of righteousness, now we are to receive righteousness into our hearts…glorious and true was the law, but out of reach of all men…exceeding glorious is the fulfilled law and truth of Jesus, why? Because now, all men, are able to receive!

2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verses 12 – 13

• The Old Covenant can’t do it…the blood of the innocent animal has not the power to take away the sin of the man…it only provided a covering, but the sin remained. But what Jesus has done, what He alone was qualified to accomplish, the blood of the innocent man does have the power to take away the sin of all men…and so Paul says in this, this reasonable mathematical equation, we have SUCH hope and we use GREAT boldness…unlike the Old Covenant (the OC), that even as it was a point, even as it was to pass away, even as it was to reveal the need for the Savior and the reasonableness of a Savior at all…the people in Moses have veiled it, covered it up, kept it warm to preserve their way rather than see God’s way…it’s like a security blanket…but there’s no real security there at all!

2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verses 14 – 16

• How is it that the Jews can read Psalm 22 or Isaiah 53:4-6 and miss what happened with Jesus? “Surely, He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” It’s a fair question and we look at the more than 300 specific prophecies fulfilled by the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus and to call it a no-brainer is a gross understatement! (Lottery winner of a pick 6 jackpot odds: 1 in 14M. Odd of Jesus fulfilling OT prophecies that are already fulfilled by Him: 1 in 100 quintillion!!! That’s 17 zeros!)
• And yet today the nation of Israel as a whole rejects Jesus as the Messiah. Why? It’s not a proof thing, it’s not a reasoning thing, it’s not a logic thing, it’s not a scientific thing, it’s not a physical thing at all…there is a spiritual blockage there…a veil upon their heart that one day…will be removed when the nation turns to Jesus as it says in Romans 11:26 and as we read in Zechariah 13:6 when they will say to Him on that day, “Where did you get these wounds and He will answer, ‘From the house of my friends.’”
• It’s the same for you and for me and for all people…that there is a blockage, a veil, truth and reality and eternity and understanding of the whole picture, the knowledge of God and the revelation of absolute truth, there is a veil…a blockage…but the moment you turn to the Lord, by faith, that veil is removed…when pride is put down, the flesh is put away, and by faith you come to God by Jesus…and then look, the reward is not just the knowledge, the knowing…there is an even better reward…look…

2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 17

• The word in the Greek is license. Coming to the Lord, growing up in the Lord, never being satisfied because the more of God you receive the more-free you become…continually pressing forward to the next version of you in the Lord, that is license to live. You can breathe, there is liberty, there is freedom, it’s not so heavy, everything isn’t so dang hard…but all of that is entirely UP to YOU. Because God has all of that waiting for you and for me in Him…you just have to go get it…

2 Corinthians Chapter 3 Verse 18

• From glory to glory, strength to strength, think of it this way…for you…from version to version as you trust God, do things His way, grow in faith and draw nearer and yet nearer to Him…

2 Corintios Capitulo 3 Versos 1-3

• Pablo indaga un poco tal vez por los rumores que se estaban esparciendo los problemas en Corinto, que decían, “Acaso nos tenemos que ordenar nosotros mismos como algunos lo hacen? “ Pero preferentemente, mírense a ustedes mismos, ¡ustedes son la prueba de nuestro ministerio! Ustedes (La Iglesia en Corinto) existen. Ustedes aman al Señor. ¡Ustedes celan las cosas de Dios! Tengo una carta de recomendación de parte de Dios Mismo, pero no está escrito en papel, está en sus corazones, ¡conocido y leído por todos los hombres!
• Pensamos que escondemos demasiado. ¡Escondemos el dolor, el pecado, el hecho de que no nos importe! ¡Escuchen, no está escondido! ¡Es conocido y leído por todos los hombres! Y específicamente, por la Iglesia de Corinto, Pablo les hace recordar, fue obra de Dios a través de él, Tito, ¡y Timoteo y otros lo que le ha guiado a estar vivos en las cosas del Señor ultimadamente! Y aun así están permitiendo que se cuestione la unción en Pablo…
• Jesus dijo en Juan 5:31, “Si yo doy testimonia acerca de Mi mismo, Mi testimonio no es verdadero.” ¿Por qué? ¡Porque, ustedes deben poder verlo! Una falsificación es fácil identificar. (cuando conoces lo es verdadero) , … Jesús hablo de esto en Mateo Capitulo 7 Versos 15-20, Guardaos de los falsos profetas, que vienen a vosotros vestidos de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces. Por sus frutos los conoceréis. ¿Acaso se recogen uvas de los espinos o higos de los abrojos?  Así, todo buen árbol da buenos frutos, pero el árbol malo da frutos malos.  No puede el buen árbol dar malos frutos, ni el árbol malo dar frutos buenos.  Todo árbol que no da buen fruto es cortado y echado en el fuego.  Así que por sus frutos los conoceréis.
• Por sus frutos los conoceréis… cual será la descendencia de su esfuerzo…el resultado de su vida… es bueno, piadoso, cambia a los hombres a la libertad, gozo y a disfrutar la justicia de Dios… o, deja a los hombres atados a ellos buenos frutos y malos frutos. Éxito y riquezas… eso No es a lo que la Biblia llama fruto. Gálatas 5:22-23 define lo que es fruto, y lo que debemos observar y su amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, fe, mansedumbre, templanza! Cuando yo estoy seleccionando a quien escuchar, a quien permitir que hable a mi corazón, deben creer que soy un inspector de fruto intenso.

2 Corintios 3 Versos 4-6

• ¡El Evangelio que Pablo predica no es caro! Salvo por Su gracia a través de la Fe.
• Miren, si realmente quieren estar cerca de Dios, necesitan recibir Su gracia a través de Jesús, pero la llave es mantener la ley. ¡Ahí es donde está la Santidad! Y este es el mensaje que se estaba arrastrando dentro de la iglesia, a través de un ataque personal en contra de Pablo, y ahora Pable entra en este discurso de que mantener la ley No te acerca más a Dios. ¿Por qué?  ¡Porque no es posible… lo que esto acaba haciendo en ti es alejarte más lejos de Dios!
• Escuchen, nadie va a presumir en el cielo… porque todo es y se trata de Jesús… todas las coronas serán para El por todo ministerio verdadero, y por todo acto de Amor verdadero en este planeta.!
• Tu suficiencia es, Pablo dice nuestra suficiencia es de parte de Dios. Si tu deseas ser cambiado a estar en lo correcto, o justificado por la ley, entonces mira,
• ya es demasiado tarde. Bien, así dicen, mis pecados han sido perdonados por la misericordia de Dios y por Su gracia, pero ahora voy a mantener la ley. ¿Con cuál propósito? Ya fuiste acusado de ser transgresor de la Ley. Simplemente no es racional, y es completa y enteramente No bíblico. Pablo dice en Gálatas 2:16 sabiendo que el hombre no es justificado por las obras de la Ley, sino por la fe de Jesucristo, nosotros también hemos creído en Jesucristo, para ser justificados por la fe de Cristo y no por las obras de la Ley, por cuanto por las obras de la Ley nadie será justificado. Esto es lo que Pablo quiere decir cuando dice “La letra Mata.”! La Ley misma es buena, pero es como un maestro, una maestría, y con analizar todo lo que esto es… todo hombre concluye que el (hombre) no es bueno… entonces buscar estar cerca de Dios y crecer cerca de Dios a través de obras y de mantener la Ley… les digo a ustedes, que ese Barco ya navego en el jardín de Edén… Ahora lo que hay que hacer es buscar estar cerca de Dios para que podamos tan solo caminar en tan solo en su Justicia!!!.
• Corintios Capitulo 3 Versos 7-11
• Talvez alguien diga que si el Nuevo Pacto a través de Jesús, el cual Pablo llama aquí, el “Ministerio de Justicia,” si es mejor y aun más glorioso, ¿entonces porque no comenzamos con eso? ¿En primer lugar, cual fue el propósito del primer Pacto? Es una buena y justa pregunta, y permítanme decirle, una muy importante…
• Es tan solo por la Ley que tenemos conocimiento del pecado. Pablo escribió en Romanos 7:7 ¿Qué, pues, diremos? ¿La Ley es pecado? ¡De ninguna manera! Pero yo no conocí el pecado sino por la Ley; y tampoco conocería la codicia, si la Ley no dijera: «No codiciarás». Y es esto verdaderamente la llave. La Gracia no es dulce, la misericordia no es bienvenida, la salvación no es recibida, a menos que tu sepas que necesitas ser salvo.! Y es por eso, que el Antiguo Testamento, y su revelación múltiple de la Justicia de Dios era/fue gloriosa… pero tal como la iluminación en la cara de Moisés se fue desvaneciendo, y así mismo es la intención del Antiguo Testamento.
• Cumplió su propósito, esta cumplido y completado y ahora Jesús está aquí…no debemos ser más mandados a hacer obras, ahora el mando es venir… no estamos más sujetos a intentar cumplir el libro de texto de la Justicia de Dios, ahora debemos recibir la Justicia de Dios en nuestro corazón… gloriosa y verdadera fue la Ley, pero fuera del alcance de todo hombre… excesiva gloria es el cumplimiento de la Ley y la Verdad de Jesús, por qué? ¡Porque ahora, todos los hombres pueden recibirla!

2 Corintios Capitulo 3 Versos 12-13

• El Antiguo Testamento no puede hacerlo… la sangre inocente del animal no tiene el poder de quitar el pecado del hombre… so proveía un cubrimiento, pero el pecado permanecía. Pero lo Jesús ha hecho, lo que Él era El único calificado para cumplirlo, la sangre inocente de hombre Si tiene el poder de quitar el pecado del hombre…y es por eso que Pablo dice en eso… usamos gran Sabiduría y Audacia… no como el Antiguo Testamento, que aunque era eso específicamente, aun que iba a pasar, y aunque iba a revelar la necesidad de un Salvador, y lo que era razonable de un Salvador… la gente en Moises tuvo que ponerle un Velo, cubrirlo, y mantenerla caliente para preservar su camino en vez de ver la Forma de Dios… es como un cobija que te da seguridad, … que en realidad ahí no hay verdadera seguridad para nada!

2 Corintios 3 Versos 14-16

Como es posible que los Judíos pueden leer el Salmo 22 o Isaías 53:4-6 y no vean lo que paso con Jesús?

 Ciertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades y sufrió nuestros dolores, ¡pero nosotros lo tuvimos por azotado, como herido y afligido por Dios! Mas él fue herido por nuestras rebeliones, molido por nuestros pecados.
Por darnos la paz, cayó sobre él el castigo, y por sus llagas fuimos nosotros curados. Todos nosotros nos descarriamos como ovejas, cada cual se apartó por su camino; más Jehová cargó en él el pecado de todos nosotros. Es una pregunta justa, y miramos a mas de 300 profecías cumplidas del nacimiento, vida, muerte y resurrección de Jesús, y llamarle a eso que no es gran cosa, es un asco. (Un Ticket ganador de la lotería una elección de 6 tickets jugadores, al azar: 1 en 14 Millones. ¡¡¡Y al azar las profecías cumplidas de Jesús 1 en un quintillón!!! Eso es 17 Ceros)

• Y aun así la nación de Israel rechaza a Jesús como el Mesías. ¿Por qué? No es algo que tenga que probarse, no es algo que tenga que ser razonado, no es algo que tenga lógica, no es algo que se científico, y tampoco es algo físico… hay un bloqueo espiritual ahí… un velo sobre sus corazones que algún día… será removido cuando la Nación voltee hacia Jesús como dice en Romanos 11:26 y como leemos en Zacarias 13:6 cuando le digan a Él en ese día… alguien le pregunta: “¿Qué heridas son éstas en tus manos?”, él responderá: “Las recibí en casa de mis amigos.”
• Y es Igual para mí, y par a ti y para toda la gente… que hay un bloqueo, un velo, a la verdad y realidad, eternidad y entendimiento del paisaje completo, de la sabiduría de Dios, y la revelación de la verdad absoluta, hay un velo, un bloqueo, … pero en el momento en que tu voltees al Señor, por Fe, el velo es removido… cuando desistes del orgullo, y dejas la carne, y en Fe vienes a Dios a través de Jesús… y entonces veras, que la recompensa no solo es el conocimiento, el saber… hay todavía un una recompensa mucho mejor… mira…

2 Corintios Capitulo 3 Verso 17

• La palabra en el Griego significa LICENCIA. Venir al Señor, crecer en el Señor, no estar completamente satisfecho por que entre más recibas mas libre eres…continuamente avanzando hacia delante, a la siguiente versión de ti en el Señor, eso es LICENCIA para vivir. Puedes respirar, hay libertad, no hay pesadez, no todo es tan difícil… pero todo esto esta en tu propia decisión. Dios tiene todo esto esperando para ti y para mi en EL. Nada mas tienes que acercarte ir a recibirlo…

2 Corintios 3 Verso 18

• De gloria en gloria, de fortaleza en fortaleza, piensa en ti de esta manera…de versión en versión conforme tu vas Confiando en Dios, has las cosas a Su manera, creciendo en Fe y acercándote y acercándote aún más a EL.
